This is a new one for us. Unsolicited SPAM from Social Stance Media offering to let us “group buy” into a social media influencer’s 1.3m followers.
I wonder if Katelyn Brown (the influencer) actually is a part of this or the company is just using her name.
Looking on her Instagram feed, it appears there were no promotional messages on the 24th (or around) so this would indicate the “group buy” didn’t happen or was actually a SCAM (as suggested by some reviews we found about the company).
Even if this was a legitimate offer, it still seems odd to be buying followers. I also wonder if the followers would know their information was being passed onto other companies (as promoted) and if would actually meet SPAM or privacy compliance.
